EVENT DAY INSTRUCTIONS
WHEN TO ARRIVE
Plan to arrive at the obstacle mud run at least 60-90 minutes prior to your start time to park, check in, stretch and listen to some tunes before you conquer the mud course.
WHAT DO I GET WITH REGISTRATION?
Your fun run registration includes a t-shirt (meant to be muddified), a Dirty Girl run bib, a commemorative Dirty Girl charm and a complimentary adult beverage to refresh those of age. You will need to secure the bib to the front of your shirt using the safety pins provided at gear check.
After you get your run day swag, swing by the “Gear Check” tent to stow your wallet, phone, a change of clothes…really whatever you don’t want covered in mud that you can fit in one purse, duffel bag or backpack! (One bag per person, no re-checking bags and no coolers.)
You can then explore our sponsor tents, stretch, dance and meet tons of other Dirty Girls before heading to the 5K run start line to get pumped!
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
With a 100% chance of a good time at our obstacle mud run, you just need a few things:
A valid ID with your b-day to check in and get an adult beverage if you’re 21+
Cash for parking and food and drinks at the after-party. Plus, shopping! Visit our merch tent for tops, jackets and swag (cash and credit accepted…clean clothes, anyone?
Family and friends…because where would a Dirty Girl be without her loyal fans? As always, spectators are free, but they better get ready to cheer!
Garbage bag to store your muddy clothes
Change of clothes
WHAT SHOULD I LEAVE AT HOME?
We welcome all fun at Dirty Girl, but ask you to leave a few things at home:
Pets…Fido may want to join the muddy fun, but please leave pets at home
Negative attitudes! This will be the most fun you’ll have all year.
Outside alcoholic beverages and glass bottles
AFTER THE RUN
You did it! You made it to the Dirty Girl Nation and crossed the finish line of our 5K with obstacles! Now it’s time to celebrate.
Swing by the “Gear Check” tent to pick up your bag with your fresh clothes, then head over to our rinse station to spritz off. Please remember this is for a quick rinse, not a shower…you can leave the washcloth at home!
Feet still feeling a bit…mud-caked? Consider donating your shoes to people in need. Just look for the “Donate Shoes” sign, tie yours together and toss them in the pile! From there, our sponsors will clean them up to give them a new life, post-Dirty Girl womens only run!
Once you’ve de-muddified a bit, redeem your drink coupon for a delicious adult beverage if you’re over 21. Check out our merch tent to grab some Dirty Girl gear because you’ll want everyone to know about the fabulous day you had!
Got all the mud out of your ears? Good. Now head on down to the Sponsor Village to check out the music.
Refuel with some delicious food. And to wash it down? A free drink of course. We’ll also have plenty of other bevs to choose from.
Fresh, clean Dirty Girl gear makes more of a lasting memory than mud caked in your navel. We hope.
Don’t forget to say hi to our national sponsor: Paul Mitchell. Stop by our other sponsor tents for local deals and samples.
Dirty Girl Charitable Giving
With the joint goal of empowering women to lead healthy lifestyles, Dirty Girl and Bright Pink will urge the hundreds of thousands of women who participate annually in Dirty Girl events to be proactive with their breast and ovarian health.
Dirty Girl is a for-profit company that believes strongly in the cause of finding a cure for breast cancer, in educating women about health and in supporting cancer victims and survivors. Dirty Girl will be contributing $250,000 to Bright Pink in 2013 to further this mission.
Dirty Girl Mud Run also provides free registrations to cancer survivors who want to muck it up in the mud at one of the 60 events across the county.
Dirty Girl is honored to have Bright Pink as an official charity partner and we look forward to sharing in their mission by encouraging this critical mass of women to understand the signs, symptoms, and risk factors of breast and ovarian cancer.
